We find that coffees from Oaxaca, Mexico exhibit a distinct sweetness. It's somehow molasses-y while citrusy with a rich chocolatey finish. This stunner is deeply quenching and perfect to be enjoyed as a hot pour over or a cold brewed french press.
This mountainous and mythical region is the home to small-scale coffee growers that grow mostly Typicas and who are starting to learn about the process of producing specialty coffee. Never before had this community received assistance or technical recommendations from outside organizations until we visited. However, since visiting for the first time it is impressive to see the dedication that this group has, to improve what they do every day.
