This coffee from José Uribe Lasso is tremendously expressive with bright fruit notes that recall the flavors of Fruit Loops cereal: lime, kumquat, spiced pear and a honeycomb sweetness. José is the founder of the renowned coffee farm El Diviso where his sons Nestor and Adrian also grow coffee. The Lasso family is dedicated to innovative processing methods which can intensify their coffees' intrinsic qualities. This pink bourbon lot has been fermented in mosto - a culture derived from previous fermentations -- and treated with a thermal shock. 

Jose is a member of the group Los Guacharos, a group of friends and neighbors near Bruselas, Huila collectively working to transition away from synthetic chemical inputs in their farming, and towards a more active, biodynamic form of agriculture. The members of the Los Guacharos group also work together to commercialize their coffee collectively, and the group has a strong sense of solidarity.
